Ingredients
For red velvet cookies:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

For cream cheese filling:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Valentine's sprinkle, optional

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. put together baking pans with parchment paper or silicone baking mats
